Freedom Festival 2025 is here! Packed with world-class performance, powerful storytelling, and unforgettable moments across Hull.

Freedom Festival champions art in public space and creative expression, through a dynamic free to access programme across the City. Bringing to life streets, squares, and stages that are bold, accessible, and full of purpose.

Join us from 28–31 August as Hull transforms into a living celebration of freedom, culture, and connection.

From the 28th – 29th August, watch a range of incredible ticketed performances as part of the Freedom Festival programme including circus, theatre and a new addition to the programme Freedom Films.

On Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st, the streets will be alive with dance, circus, theatre, art and heritage activity across the City, all free to access!

This year’s programme is spread across three distinct city zones, to help you make the most of the festival. From large-scale performances and immersive theatre in Queen Victoria Square, to music and movement on Humber Street, and headline shows at Hull Truck Theatre. Wherever you are, there’s something to experience.
