Through the Ruins is an immersive walk-through miniature city installation that explores war, displacement and refugee experience. Move through the darkness to find lit scenes depicting a city ravaged by war and the devastation to its infrastructure. Houses, streets, parks and playgrounds left in ruins highlight the impact of war, but what's left unspoken is the true loss - life itself.
This powerful and emotional piece contrasts the small-scale of the miniature city with the large-scale consequences of war in the real world, amplifying everything left unsaid and refusing to stay silent.
