With a visual nod to Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, SENESCENCE is a circus performance that sees a single performer inhabit a large rotating ball made up of steel rings. In this living installation, ageing is the subject as it explores the human impulse to have the perfect body even as it slowly changes over time. Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man is an image of ideal proportion and balance, and the artist has reimagined this in a structure that is both harmonius and constricting. Beauty, effort, risk and vulnerability coexist. Watch the artists roll towards you as he oscillates between control and collapse.
